We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to provide engineering program support to a DoD client in San Diego, CA.
Conduct a variety of engineering tasks for the development, operation, and maintenance of complex communications and network technology systems.
Ensure the integration of sound systems engineering methodologies processes for total system performance.
Review documents and artifacts to guarantee system integrity.
Initiate, monitor, reconcile, and make minor modifications to systems.
Communicate directly with multiple stakeholders at the Program Management and Engineering Working Group level to support the product to get through the initial/final stages of detailed design, vendor production and then acceptance testing.
Bachelors of Science (BS) degree in electrical engineering or a related technical field.
An active secret clearance is required to be considered for this role.
Five (5) or more years demonstrated experience as an engineer supporting Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence (C4I) systems.
Three (3) or more years demonstrated experience working with Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) equipment such as radars, GPS, C2 systems, AIS, Radio Direction Finding, electro-optic cameras and HF/VHF/UHF Communications.
Demonstrated experience performing foreign disclosure reviews or similar demonstrated experience such as sanitizing technical documentation.
Two (2) or more years demonstrated experience supporting cost estimation as a technical expert.
Demonstrated experience in requirements development (e.g., supporting development of Statements of Work (SOWs), Specifications, Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs).
Demonstrated experience performing requirements analysis, including activities such as site surveys, System Operation Verification Tests (SOVTs).
Demonstrated experience in researching and conducting analysis of alternatives of COTS products.
Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining Integrated Master Schedules (IMSs) and the ability to present the IMS in multiple formats, including Microsoft (MS) Project and MS PowerPoint (or similar software).
Three (3) or more years of demonstrated experience with SPAWAR prime mission products.
Two (2) or more years of demonstrated experience supporting Systems Engineering and Technical Reviews (SETR).
DISAM SCM courses such as SCM-C.
DISAM International Affairs Certification Level 1 or above.
Demonstrated experience working OCONUS in security cooperation efforts or for foreign customers (i.e., not for U.S. military bases or USG facilities).
Demonstrated experience working in multiple austere locations (e.g., in Middle Eastern nations, African nations or the Pacific Rim) in security cooperation efforts or for foreign customers (i.e., not for U.S. military bases or USG facilities).
Demonstrated experience interacting with foreign senior military/government officials.
