  • Overview

    We are seeking a seasoned Sr. Logistician to support a DoD program office in San Diego, CA!

    Responsibilities

    • Assist USG in capturing and analyzing FMS customers’ transportation and logistics requirements for Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) and Government Off-the-Shelf (GOTS) C4I equipment.
    • Assist in developing and managing case-specific transportation plans; monitor and integrate changes in DSCA transportation policies into PMW 740 internal processes.
    • Manage logistics data for all PMW 740 cases; respond to logistics data calls and reports.
    • Oversee inventory management, materiel acquisition & contract management, and obsolescence management.
    • Provide PMW 740 help desk operations.
    • Participate in logistics reviews, Integrated Product/Program Teams (IPTs), Working Groups, and engineering technical reviews.
    • Provide in-country support to coordinate and manage logistics matters with FMS customers.
    • Assist in reconciling transportation and open shipments on Supply Service Complete (SSC) cases.
    • International and domestic business travel as required by the USG.
    • Create/maintain standardized yet flexible tools to assist in developing cost estimates, transportation plans, and logistics services for FMS Letters of Offer and Acceptance (LOAs).
    • Participates in IPTs to integrate logistics into and continuously improve cross-functional processes
    • Provide training and guidance to other team members to consider logistics requirements during FMS pre-LOR, case development, and case execution.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • An active secret clearance is required to be considered for this position.
    • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant technical required; Master’s Degree in relevant field preferred.
    • Five (5) years of direct experience as a logistician supporting GOTS/COTS C4I systems/equipment.
    • Three (3) years providing logistics support to foreign customers and/or within the SC/A domain.
    • Three (3) years mentoring junior and mid-level logisticians.
    • Two (2) years working in an IPT environment.
    • Experience working in austere environments (e.g., Middle East, Pacific Rim) preferred.
    • Experience in continuous process improvement preferred.
    • Completion of DISCS SC/A courses (SCM-C, SCM-CM, SCM-CF) preferred.
    • Certified PMP, Certified DAWIA Level 1 equivalency, or other relevant certifications preferred.
