  • Overview

    The Sr. Logistics Analyst will provide acquisition logistics engineering and sustainment logistics planning and execution for a dynamic ACAT 1C PEO-T NAVAIR program supporting US and Foreign Military customers.


    • Provide logistic engineering assessments; design interface implementation; Reliability, Maintainability & Supportability (RMS) analysis; test and evaluation support; operational supportability assessments and support system availability analysis during the acquisition process.
    • Provide logistics engineering expertise in developing logistics-related contract modifications for production contracts.
    • Provide analysis and reporting for logistics plans that affect production, distribution, and inventory.
    • Analyze field maintenance issues and provide recommended solutions.
    • Analyze supply and technical data metrics.
    • Able to compile and analyze data to identify trends, deficiencies, and anomalies.
    • Able to perform research to determine reasons for patterns of errors and/or failures.
    • Review and assess hardware contractor’s technical proposals.
    • Perform logistics engineering fact-finding, cost information analysis and provide assessments.
    • Assess Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) contractor performance for all logistics elements.
    • Review and track the status of Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) items from hardware contractors.
    • Analyze the production contractors’ data deliverables for compliance with specified requirements and develop review comments as required.
    • Provide logistics engineering support to Logistics and Engineering sponsored Working Group meetings and SETR events by developing presentation materials, minutes, and action item resolution though knowledge of logistics engineering solutions. 
    • Participate in Problem Review Board (PRB) meetings.  Review and track all submitted problem reports to assess logistics impact.
    • Participate in the Configuration Control Review Board (CCRB) and assist in preparations for, and monitor the outcome of, Configuration Control Board (CCB) meetings.
    • Participate in logistics engineering Integrated Product Teams (IPTs)
    • Participate in Joint Reliability & Maintainability Evaluation Team (JRMET) meetings.
    • Participate in logistics engineering related conferences, briefings, and program reviews.  Work to complete or follow-up on associated action items.  Provide comments and recommendations.
    • Develop and/or update/revise Programmatic Environmental Health and Safety Evaluation (PESHE) and HAZMAT management plan as necessary.
    • Maintain the following document files:
      • Supply support information and documentation
      • Technical data including operation and maintenance manuals
      • Operation and maintenance courses to support customer platform installations
      • Organizational and Intermediate level test and support required for MIDS-LVT.
    • Monitor production contractor vendor-to-vendor interchangeability testing, and the Joint Service interoperability program and access the impact on system support strategies.
    • Review Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) for supportability impacts and recommend actions to ensure the system is adequately supported.
    • Recommend solutions for logistics acquisition and engineering issues identified by the Problem Tracking Database (PTDB).
    • Research and compile logistics engineering products (e.g. deviations and ECPs, with logistics impacts, HAZMAT details and Material Safety Data Sheets), which are used to identify and plan for additional support requirements.  The Contractor shall conduct the necessary research to identify appropriate products for incorporation into the program as assigned. 
    • Provide engineering and technical expertise to the Problem Report Process IPT.  Participate in engineering and technical design discussions of Problem Reports leading to change review and change control boards.  Prepare, review, and distribute documentation associated with Problem Report Reviews and Problem Report Boards.
    • Develop, analyze, review, and/or update general and specialized Support Equipment (SE) and tools related to program utilization to effectively support the system.
    • Review and evaluate program technical documentation developed by the production contractors and various platforms and make recommendations as to their adequacy to meet program objectives.
    • Provide test and evaluation engineering analysis to support the integration and implementation in its intended use
    • Develop and revise the Manpower Estimate Report (MER).
    • Assess depot repair capability and capacity; establish actual repair costs for each production contractor.
    • Assess manufacturing capability and capacity; participate in technical risk mitigation meetings affecting production, to include test procedures, environmental screening, resource assignment, manufacturing variability,  
    • Monitor production contractor vendor-to-vendor interchangeability testing, the Joint Service interoperability program and access the impact on system support strategies.
    • Evaluate requirements to acquire, catalog, receive, store, transfer, issue, and disposal throughout the product lifecycle.
    • Other duties as assigned.


    • A current active clearance is required to be considered for this role.
    • A minimum of five (5) years of ILS experience supporting a DoD or comparable government agency.
    • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline.
    • DAWIA certification in Logistics or Program Management is highly desirable.
    • Microsoft Office proficiency.
    • Proficient analytical skills, adept at problem solving with a high attention to detail.
    • Working knowledge in Supply Support requirements and procedures to develop sparing requirements to support repair and retrofit planning.
    • Active duty US Navy experience a plus.
    • Possess working knowledge of Security requirements and procedures related to COMSEC equipment.
    • Travel: Approximately 5% required.
